Gempa Magnitudo 4,4 Guncang Bantul Yogyakarta, Tidak Berpotensi Tsunami

Greenmind, Yogyakarta — Gempa bumi berkekuatan magnitudo 4,4 mengguncang wilayah Kabupaten Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) pada Selasa, 27 Januari 2026, sekitar pukul 13.15 WIB, menurut data resmi Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG). Gempa ini dipastikan tidak berpotensi menimbulkan tsunami, meskipun getarannya dirasakan oleh warga di sejumlah daerah sekitar pusat gempa.

BMKG mencatat titik episenter gempa berada di 7,87 derajat Lintang Selatan dan 110,49 derajat Bujur Timur, sekitar 15–16 kilometer timur laut Bantul, dengan kedalaman 11 kilometer di bawah permukaan tanah, menunjukkan sifat gempa yang dangkal dan mudah terasa di permukaan.

Getaran gempa tidak hanya dirasakan oleh warga di Bantul dan Yogyakarta, tetapi juga oleh masyarakat di beberapa wilayah sekitarnya. Sejumlah laporan warga menyebut sempat merasakan guncangan yang cukup terasa dan memicu reaksi panik singkat meskipun durasinya pendek.

Menurut laporan media yang mengutip pernyataan BMKG, gempa ini termasuk aktivitas seismik yang terkait dengan sistem sesar lokal di kawasan selatan Jawa, dan menunjukkan pola yang biasa terjadi di wilayah dengan aktivitas tektonik aktif seperti DIY.

Hingga kini, belum ada laporan resmi tentang korban jiwa maupun kerusakan signifikan akibat guncangan ini. Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) setempat terus memantau situasi pascagempa dan memastikan kondisi masyarakat serta bangunan di wilayah terdampak tetap aman.

BMKG mengimbau masyarakat untuk tetap tenang, mengikuti informasi dari kanal resmi, serta meningkatkan kewaspadaan terhadap aktivitas seismik lanjutan meskipun potensi gempa susulan diperkirakan intensitasnya lebih kecil dari kejadian utama.
